Hello everyone
- please excuse me for writing in english, but my knowledge of german is close to non-existent

I'm from Denmark which unfortunately doesn't have a Nomos distributor, thus I have only seen the Nomos range in pictures and not in person.

I need some advise from some of you German residents and I hope you can help me.

I am interested in one of the following 3 Nomos watches, but I would like to see the watches in person before making a decision:

1. Tangente Sport Index Date anthracite (my current favorite)
2. Tangomat Date ruthenium (I like the design and size but I prefer a manual wound movement and at this price point there are other brands which may also be interesting)
3. Tangente Date ruthenium (I like it, but I think it is probably a little too small)

My question - how would you suggest I go about to see and compare these watches? What are the chances that I can find a shop with all the watches available?
I could go to Hamburg, possibly to Berlin - any particular shops you would recommend?

Perhaps I could even justify a trip to Glashütte if I was sure the Nomos shop would carry the mentioned models - and if I could get a factory tour at the same time

Please let me know your thoughts.

Welcome to the Forum, Nils!

Hamburg would be a great choice for you. Is is not to far, it is a lovely and interesting city and you have a hand full of NOMOS ADs in walking distance fom each other so you could easily compare the watches. If you can get one i would go for the Tangomat Ruthenium. It has a reasonable size for a mens watch and the NOMOS inhouse automatic movement.

Thanks for the suggestion. Hamburg would indeed be the most convenient, although a trip to Glashütte could be very interesting.

I notice your wording: "if you can get one...". Do you mean that the Tangomat Date Ruthenium (or any of the other mentioned models) are in short supply?

If you go to Hamburg, go to Wempe! Call them in advance and check if they have the watches available.
On the Nomos site you will find a store locator, in Hamburg you will find a lot of shops!
Since Wempe is one of the best retailers in germany I would go for them!

I took a quick trip to Hamburg last week and looked at the 3 watches mentioned in the original post - all were in stock at Wempe.

The opportunity to see the watches "live" did not change my initial preferences - I ended up buying the Tangente Sport Index w. date - and I am very happy with my choice.
