I´m not Mr. Mattes, but anyway if I would like to spend not more than €5000,- I would search for a used Jaeger Le Coultre Hometime (or a Squadra Hometime) or a Rolex GMT Master II C (all these watches can be bought new for less than €6000,- as per list and don´t forget the grey market) because I think the date indication is really important for a world time watch or a GMT watch. The above listed watches are not "worldtimers" of course but the Zurich Worldtime gives me the feeling of incompleteness.
Thank you for your suggestions. Yes, indeed, I've looked at a Jaeger LeCoultre Hometime, both Squadra, Master Control, and even Compressor, and you're right, the Master Control Hometime is a wonderful watch.
I just thought, one gets a "lot of watch" for the money, if you buy the new Zürich Weltzeit. And the missing date doesn't bother me. I believe, the PP Worldtime does not have a date, but that's a completely different ballpark anyways.
Have you worn the new Zürich? How does the new dial look like in reality? The only thing that bothers me is that in pictures, the new Weltzeit dial looks, -and I'm sorry to say that- a bit cheap, compared to the original Zürich. Here I believe, Nomos saved at the wrong end. What's your take on that?
yes, I have worn the Zürich Weltzeit and I was positively surprised. It looks - in my eyes - much better than shown on pics and a bit smaller too than the Zürich itself (due to the indication of the destinations). This is an optical illusion of course but anyway it makes the watch more handsome for me.
The dial is printed now which may look a bit like a lower quality level compared to the Zürich as you rightly said but there was no other way to realise it as it was told in Glashütte.
The Zürich Weltzeit is "not my cup of tea" but the Zürich itself rised up in a different light now for me, especially with the black dial and date indication.
Compared with the Patek (if a comparison makes even sense here) you are right and it was one of my thoughts too the date might not be necessary. I´m just travelling a lot and would really need the date indication.
If the date doesn´t bother you too much I would really suggest to wait till the watch is officially available or you should try to become a "tester". There are 300 watches available (2 types of Zürich Weltzeit and 4 types of Tangomat GMT). Your dealer should be able to tell you more about it.

Thank you for your information. I will just simply have to wait and see. One of the things that makes a decision more difficult is the feeling of not having a proper service station. Glashütte Original keeps a watchmaker from Glashütte on sight at their boutique in Hong Kong and all the major brands have their own stores in Shanghai and Hong Kong. But anyway, again, thank you very much for your suggestions.
Nomos also has a rep in Hong Kong http://www.glashuette.com/suche/...=&kollektion=Ja but I doubt that there is an own watchmaker of them in Hong Kong available. UPS, DHL or one of the other courier services will take care of a quick supply or service time
Just go for it.
